How to Mint a Marinade NFT
Marinade NFTs represent your locked MNDE and your voting power in the governance. Follow these steps to mint your own Marinade NFT.
MNDE, the governance token of the Marinade protocol, can be obtained in different ways:
- Liquidity Mining - You will need to use mSOL in DeFi protocols that are part of the liquidity mining program.
- Contributing to the Marinade DAO.
Once you have at least 1,000 MNDE, you are ready to mint your own Marinade Chef NFT.

- 2.Enter the amount of MNDE you want to lock inside your NFT. You can unlock those MNDE and burn the NFT but you will have to wait until the end of the unlock period, which is set at 30 days. You can lock any amount of MNDE. Depending on the locked amount, your NFT will have a corresponding level.
3. Click on 'Lock MNDE' and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
4. After a few seconds, you will see your own Marinade NFT appear.
You can mint as many Marinade NFT as you want. Note that due to technical limitations, it is only possible to vote with a maximum of 15 NFTs at the moment. If you have more NFTs, please send them to a different wallet and vote with both wallets to avoid issues.
- 1.Go to Marinade governance page, a list of all the ongoing proposals will appear.

2. Click on the proposal you wish to vote on. After a few seconds, your voting power will be loaded
3. Click on the 'Cast vote' button and choose how you want to vote. You can change your vote at any moment until the end of the proposal.

If you have not voted with all your NFTs (because you minted some new ones for example), you will get notified when opening a proposal and you will have the possibility to recast all your votes.
